LOUISVILLE, KY – Great things happen when girls get together. Girl Scouts participating in the 2018 Girl Scout Cookie Program®, the largest girl-led entrepreneurial program in the world, are rallying together in amazing ways to earn money for educational activities, community projects and travel opportunities.

On Saturday, January 6, at Allstate Arena, troops gathered from Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana (GSGCNI) to claim the Guinness World Records title for “Most People Dunking Cookies” during a Cookie Rally that will now go down in history. A total of 3,236 Girl Scout Cookies® were dunked at the event.

Little Brownie Bakers®, a licensed Girl Scout Cookie baker, supported GSGCNI by supplying the Girl Scout Cookies that Girl Scouts and their families dunked in their own cups of milk, all at the same time. The rally and record setting took place before a Chicago Wolves hockey game.

Wendy Davidson, President of Kellogg’s U.S. Specialty Channels, was thrilled to be a part of the event and said, “As a Girl Scout alum, it’s amazing to see the power of girls, working together, and it was truly an awesome way to kick off the Girl Scout Cookie season.”  You can hear from Wendy Davidson and GSGCNI Council CEO Nancy Wright  in the video on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/SamoasCookies/
