2020 Photo Editing Workshop

2020 Photo Editing Workshop

Give teens hands-on tech experience! Teach them how to use software tools to layer Girl Scout Cookie™ images on top of photos. As a bonus, they can post their finished pics to social media to pump up their marketing efforts.

Supplies:

  • Green screen backdrop
  • Tablet to snap pics
  • Cookie Rocket Background clip art

Steps:

1. Set up a green screen photo station. Note: Girls should avoid wearing colors similar to the green background. If they do, they may have to do some extra editing or take a picture on another background.

2. Snap a pic of the Girl Scout in her best rocket pose. Show her the sample image if she gets stuck. Girls can even take pictures of other girls.

3. Hand the tablet over to the Girl Scout and let her go to town! Make sure to have your app of choice downloaded to the tablet. Tip: Test your preferred background eraser app before the event. There are a lot of options out there, so make sure you select the one that is best for your device.

4. Delete the background and insert the Cookie Rocket Background clip art. Save and send the file to the Girl Scout’s or a parent’s email account, so she can save and post to social media at a later time. Be sure to check the online GSUSA
