Girl Scout S'mores are back!LOUISVILLE, KY – It’s not every snack that has a national holiday, but the widespread popularity of Girl Scout S’mores during its first year launch highlights why the time-honored campfire treat is celebrated by people all over the U.S.

Little Brownie Bakers®, a licensed Girl Scout Cookie baker, is joining Girl Scouts of the USA in celebrating National S’mores Day on August 10th with a special announcement that Girl Scout S’mores are coming back for the 2017-18 cookie season. This marks the second year of production for the crunchy graham sandwich cookies with a chocolate and marshmallowy filling.

Demand high for Girl Scout S’mores in 2016-2017
Sales of Girl Scout S’mores in markets served by Little Brownie Bakers were above original council forecasts for the 2016-2017 cookie season. The Girl Scout S’mores cookies are offered in addition to core cookies that include Thin Mints®, Samoas® and other iconic varieties.

More cookies on the way for the coming season
Since sales were higher than anticipated last year, Little Brownie plans to bake more cookies for the 2017-2018 season—not just some more, but 50 percent more. This will allow troops to order and reorder Girl Scout S’mores throughout the cookie season to satisfy
customer demand.

A recipe that blends tradition with modern trends
Many types of s’mores have come about since the first recipe was published by Girl Scouts of the USA more than a century ago. Girl Scout S’mores stand out for the way they blend tradition with the preferences of today’s consumers.

Girl Scout S’mores are made with natural flavors and specialty ingredients, which are increasingly sought after by customers. Every cookie features embossed designs that honor the Girl Scouts’ Outdoor Badges, which are a reflection of Girl Scout of the USA’s commitment to helping girls connect with nature and make a positive impact on the environment.
