Girls Scouts offer delicious cookie that reflects growing market trends

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Little Brownie Bakers has announced a new Girl Scout Cookie inspired by Girl Scouting traditions and made with simple ingredients that appeal to many of today’s consumers. The new Girl Scout S’mores are crunchy graham sandwich cookies with a unique layering of creamy chocolate and marshmallowy filling. Each cookie features an embossed image of one of five Girls’ Choice Outdoor Badges. Girl Scouts were among the first to publish the recipe for campfire s’mores nearly a century ago. Now one of the most popular flavors in the country, the tradition of s’mores has inspired this new Girl Scout Cookie innovation. In councils served by Little Brownie Bakers, Girl Scouts will offer the new cookie during the 2017 cookie season, which marks the 100th anniversary of Girl Scouts selling cookies. These cookies were created with the preferences of today’s consumers in mind. Girl Scout S’mores are made with natural flavors and specialty ingredients. More and more, customers are seeking out natural flavors and better ingredients. And now, Girl Scouts can give them that choice. Little Brownie Bakers is one of two bakers licensed by Girl Scouts of the USA and has been baking Girl Scout Cookies since 1973. Little Brownie Bakers’ mission is to provide cookies and support services of the highest quality to Girl Scout councils to help teach girls a wide range of life skills and generate income for Girl Scout troops and councils via the annual Cookie Program. Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place.
