Optional: If you can’t find pillow boxes, you can make your own at home. Partially flatten a toilet paper tube, then fold in the top half-inch of the tube into the hole. Repeat for the bottom of the tube.
Step 1: Punch a hole in the top flaps of the pillow box.
Step 2: Create a loop with the ribbon and tie the ends together with a large knot.
Step 3: Open the bottom of the pillow box and thread the loop through the hold in the top. The knot will stay inside the box.
Step 4: Create eye, beak and wing shapes out of the craft paper and glue them onto the pillow box.
Step 5: Cut an oval shape and write your message on it. Glue your message onto the belly of the owl.
Step 6: Use stickers, jewels and other craft supplies to decorate your owl.
You can loop the ribbon around your wrist and wear it when you take cookie orders. When booth sales roll around, everyone in your troop can hang their owls and turn them into an owl banner!
